2.3M Pfizer jabs arriving in June

THE World Health Organization (WHO) has notified the Philippine government on the arrival of no less than 2.3 million Pfizer COVID-19 doses not later than June this year.

According to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez, it was the WHO’s COVAX Facility which sent an official communication saying that the Philippines will be receiving  2,385,210 COVID-19 shots from US-based Pfizer-BioNTech.

Galvez, in his capacity as chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, added that Pfizer and the Philippine government are finalizing a deal on legal immunity and who will shoulder compensation in case of adverse effects from the vaccine.

The Philippines is haggling to secure at least 40 million Pfizer jabs.
