A VENDOR was stabbed dead by two suspects as he tried to foil a holdup try on a tricycle driver in Caloocan City the other night.
Carmelito Nunag, 55 years old, and a resident of Brgy. 176, was dead on the spot due to multiple stab wounds in different parts of the body.
Reports say the two suspects, identified only through their aliases “David” and “Jay-R,” boarded the tricycle driven by John Paulo Calcita.
The suspects made Calcita circle the area three times and declared a holdup upon reaching Brgy. 176.
Calcita ran and shouted for help. Nunag responded and tried to stop the suspects but was stabbed repeatedly by the suspects that led to his instant death.
One of the suspects, alias “David,” was immediately apprehended by responding policemen and recovered the knife used to stab Nunag.
The other suspect was able to escape and is now the subject of a police manhunt.
