The United States’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that more than 194 million COVID-19 vaccines had been administered already in the US.
As of Wednesday morning, 194,791,836 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered to citizens around the country, with 250,998,265 sent for distribution to vaccination centers.
The COVID-19 vaccines were Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, and Johnson & Johnson’s. However, US Federal health authorities recommended a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after six women under 50 years old developed rare blood clots after vaccination.
About 123,917,385 people had already been vaccinated with at least one dose while 76,681,252 people were fully vaccinated already, the agency said.
