A TOTAL of six vaccination sites will be used in the vaccination rollout for the 5-11 year-old age group, which will be launched this coming Friday, February 4, 2022.
According to Acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles, among these sites are the Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital, Manila Zoo, Skydome at SM North Edsa, and the Filoil Gym in San Juan City.
Nograles pointed out that it is important that all children be vaccinated already in preparation for the return in the holding of face-to-face classes.
He said the Pfizer vaccines that were reformulated with a lower dose fit for use by the 5-11 age group are expected to arrive within this week.
Currently, around 168,355 kids aged 5-11 have been registered already by their parents in their respective local government units for the vaccination.
Meanwhile, Nograles reported that as of January 28, 2022, around 7.5 million children in the 12-17 age category, or about 59 percent, have been fully vaccinated already.
