Two nabbed for illegal gambling in Malabon City

Two people, including a girl, were nabbed by police operatives in Malabon City for conducting illegal gambling activities in two separate areas in the city.

In the report of police investigators PSMS Darwin Concecion and PSSg Diego Ngipol to Malabon police chief Col. Angela Rejano, at around 7 p.m., policemen from Sub-Station 5 were conducting “Oplan Galugad” at Block 9 corner Block 12 Labahita St. in Brgy. Longos when they chanced upon a group playing the coin game “cara y cruz.”

When accosted, the group quickly scampered into different directions but the police were able to nab Larry Tolentino, 42, while the others managed to elude arrest.

The police confiscated three P1 coins (pangara) and P220 bet money.

At around 3 p.m., operatives of Sub-Station 1 headed by PLt. Joseph Almayda who were also conducting “Oplan Galugad” at Rimas corner Pineapple Road, Brgy. Potrero, caught 4 people engaged in the illegal numbers game called “Ending.”

When the suspects noticed the presence of the police, they ran into different directions to elude arrest that resulted to a foot chase. Cornered was Lea Bulani, 34, while three others managed to escape.

According to PSSg Jose Romeo Germinal and PCpl Micahel Oben, seized from Bulani were two ending cards, ball pen and P6,000 bet money.
