Tragic fire claims Four lives, including Toddler in Balanga City

BALANGA CITY, BATAAN – A tragic fire broke out early this morning, February 2, 2025, engulfing a two-story house in a residential compound in Purok 1, Barangay Camacho, Balanga City. The blaze, which erupted around 4:45 AM, claimed the lives of four family members, including a three-year-old child. Two motorcycles were also destroyed in the incident.

Witnesses reported seeing flames rapidly consuming the lower part of the house. Tragically, the victims were found trapped inside, unable to escape as the house’s main gate was locked, hindering their chance for survival.

Authorities identified the deceased as Zenaida Jose Alsadon, 70; August Jose Alsadon, 53, a tricycle driver; Jaimelyn Joy Manalo, 24; and three-year-old Jaila Adeline Lucero Jose. Firefighters from the Balanga City Fire Station and the Fire and Rescue Team responded swiftly, managing to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation as authorities work to determine its origin. In light of the tragedy, residents are urged to review their fire safety measures, ensuring that escape routes are accessible and homes are equipped with basic fire prevention tools.
