CAMP PACIANO RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – THE issuance of 5 warrants of arrest to a top 2 Most Wanted Person in Bukidnon turned out to be deadly as their target engaged in a shootout with the authorities in San Pedro City, Laguna, this morning of Thursday, November 26.
Police Col. Serafin Petalio II identified the suspect as Jovel Adorable alias “Peter Joe”, a resident of Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Salawagan in Quezon, Bukidnon and presently living in San Pedro City.
Armed with warrants of arrest, the combined forces of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-PUI, San Pedro City Police Station, Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO), Quezon Municipal Police Station and Bukidnon Police Provincial Office (BPPO) conducted the operation against Adorable around 6:30 am in Sitio Rustan, Barangay Langgam.
Report said instead of surrendering, Adorable pulled out his gun and fired at the police who retaliated.
Adorable was immediately neutralized at the encounter site and died on the spot.
It was learned that Adorable has a standing warrant for multiple cases include
1) Frustrated Murder with Criminal Case No. 27228-15 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Ma. Theresa Aban Cammanong, Judge of RTC Branch 9 Malaybalay Bukidnon dated October 23, 2015;
2) Frustrated Murder with Criminal Case No. 27221-15P issued by Acting Presiding Judge Hon. Eldred D Cole RTC Branch 10 Malaybalay, Bukidnon dated July 21,2016;
3) Murder with Criminal Case No. 28513-16 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Ma Theresa Aban Cammanong RTC Branch 9 Malaybalay, Bukidnon dated June 24, 2016;
4) Murder with Criminal Case No. 35567- issued by Presiding Judge Hon Isobel G. Barroso RTC 10th Judicial Regional City of Malaybalay, Bukidnon; and
5) Frustrated Homicide with Criminal Case no. 27227-15 issued by Hon Isobel G. Barroso RTC 10th judicial Regional City of Malaybalay, Bukidnon dated July 4, 2020.
Adorable is also known as one of the High Value Individuals or HVI involved in the illegal drug trade in the 1st district of Laguna and as the notorious “hitman” of the Joel Oblinada drug group.
SOCO team recovered one 38 caliber revolver at the scene while 8 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets suspected to be shabu were found inside a black sling bag carried by Adorable.
