THE Medical City – South Luzon launched its Drive –Thru Labworks in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
Services include blood extraction, which is done in the comfort of the patient’s vehicle.
X-rays and ECGs is processed in less than 30 minutes in the parking area, with tent provided.
“This program is our response to the growing requests of clients for a safe and convenient process to have their common lab exams done. Through this, we eliminate the need to enter the hospital just for simple tests,” said Dr. Cesar Ramon Espiritu, president and CEO of TMC South Luzon.
“Although this was spurred by the current health crisis, we foresee that this service will even outlive the pandemic because of its positive features and advantages,” he added.
The Drive-Thru Labwork was a branchild of Dr. Jose Enrico Juliano, an opthalmologist and chief operations officer of TMC South Luzon.
Juliano said they wanted to offer homecare and teleconsultation services.
Through a phone-in appointment, the homecare staff will visit the patient at home as per his/her request.
Common homecare services being offered include laboratory tests, ECG, nursing procedures, stoma and wound care, and physical medicine rehabilitation.
Teleconsultation allows doctor and patient to interact to provide immediate relief to common and even urgent health problems, with the aid of current technology and platforms.
