An 18-year-old teenager was arrested after being caught with more than P.2 million worth of illegal drugs and firearms in a anti-illegal drugs operation in Navotas City.
Navotas City Police Chief Col. Rolando Balasabas identified the suspect as Kyle Dela Peña of Bagong Kalsada St., Barangay Tangos South.
According to Balasabas, at around 9:30 pm, Wednesday, operatives of the Station Intelligence Branch (SIB) led by Police Lt. Luis Rufo Jr. conducted a monitoring and surveillance operation against Dela Pena, who is said to be on the list of top 10 most wanted criminals in the city.
A police agent managed to bought from Dela Pena a piece of transparent plastic sachet believes to be a shabu and that’s when the agent signaled other police men to immediately grabbed him and make the arrest.
Police yielded eight plastic sachets containing approximately 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000.00, 16 plastic sachets containing 15 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P1,800 and a cal. 38 revolver loaded with bullets and a sling bag.
Dela Pena is now facing in violation under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Illegal Possession of firearms and ammunition.
