THE Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) said it has put the National Capital Region (NCR) and the province of Laguna under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting August 21, 2021 until August 31, 2021, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
The province of Bataan was also placed under MECQ status starting August 23, 2021 up to August 31, 2021.
These latest classifications are without prejudice to the strict implementation of granular lockdown, the statement added.
Also, local government units in the areas are directed to improve their vaccination rollout activities, Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategies, and to ensure that minimum public health standards are strictly observed.
Businesses not allowed to operate in the areas mentioned are indoor and al-fresco dine-in services, personal care services including beauty salons, beauty parlors, barbershops and nail spas.
Also, religious gatherings shall remain virtual in the NCR, Bataan and Laguna.
These protocols shall be observed in said areas under the inclusive dates they are under MECQ.
