IT was a truly enchanting and exhilarating night as Taal Vista Hotel, the premier and historic hotel destination in Tagaytay, recently celebrated the holidays with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event.
Entitled, “Where Christmas Feels Like Home,” Taal Vista Hotel kicked off the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which featured a handmade outdoor Christmas tree made exclusively by Pampanga craftsmen.
The ceremony was led by Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, and Ramon Makilan, General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel. A ceremonial gift-giving for the children of Augustinian Sisters Servants of Jesus and Mary, beneficiaries of the celebration, followed immediately after.
Later that evening, guests were treated to a Christmas concert featuring music artists Imusicapella Choir, soloist Jasmine Fitzgerald, viocalist Brian Cimafranca, and pianist Jon Joe Ayala Mercado. Guests also enjoyed a six-course traceable dinner curated by Executive Chef Jayme Natividad and paired with elegant wines from Titania Wine Cellar.
Chef Jayme made use of locally sourced items such as Etag, an Ilocano and Cordilleran preserved meat, potatoes from Benguet, tuna from General Santos, tea from Tsaa Laya, and wagyu from Bukidnon.
The ballrooms, on the other hand, were elegantly adorned with Christmas lights and fresh flower centerpieces by Julius Villamante of Amante Fleurs, while Artuz provided professional lights and sounds
for the event.
The “Where Christmas Feels Like Home” Christmas Tree Lighting event was truly a magical and heartwarming experience. The hotel invites everyone to celebrate the season of love, joy, and peace in their second home at Taal Vista Hotel.
