AN earthquake with a 7.4-magnitude that hit off the coast of Indonesia also rocked parts of northern Australia.
There were no reported damage or injuries yet, says the Australian Broadcasting Corp. (ABC).
The media group quoted Geoscience Australia senior seismologist Hadi Ghasemi, who said their modeling and first reports point to “moderate to light level of ground shaking.”
The tremor was felt at about 3:55 a.m. local time at Darwin, the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory.
In a Twitter post, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology said there was no threat of a tsunami.
