A TOTAL six individuals were dead while two others were injured after the vehicle they were in fell off a steep ravine in Catengan, Besao, Mountain Province.
Police Captain Marnie Abellanida, Cordillera Police spokesperson, said in a report that the incident happened yesterday.
The victims were mostly youngsters aged 17 to 21 years old who came all the way from Ilocos Sur.
Abellanida said the passengers were all aboard a Tamaraw FX that fell off an estimated 100-meter deep ravine.
It was said that the crash happened due to heavy rains in the area at the time of the accident.
All victims were recovered from the ill-fated vehicle, where responders immediately declared six people were dead while the two who survived were immediately brought to the nearest hospital.
