THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Region 7 approved a P31-increase in the minimum daily wage rate of workers in the region.
This means the minimum daily wage rate for non-agriculture workers will now be P435, while P425 will be the new minimum daily wage rate for the region’s workers in the agriculture sector.
Aside from this, the wage board also approved a P500 increase in the monthly wages of domestic workers in the region’s cities and municipalities, where their minimum pay will now be at P4,500 up to P5,500.
The wage orders will then be submitted by the wage board to the National Wages and Productivity Commission for its review.
