QCPD strengthens school security with project Ligtas Eskwela, reaches 138 schools in a week

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has intensified its efforts to ensure school safety through Project Ligtas Eskwela, with 313 police personnel visiting 138 schools from February 10 to 16, 2025, QCPD Acting District Director PCOL Melecio M. Buslig, Jr. announced.

As part of the initiative, the QCPD set up 153 Police Assistance Desks (PADS) across various schools, providing immediate support to students, teachers, and parents. These desks serve as accessible points for reporting concerns, seeking police assistance, and fostering stronger collaboration between law enforcement and the academic community.

Additionally, 140 security and engagement activities were conducted, including flag-raising ceremonies, foot patrols, and dialogues with school administrators, parents, and students.

“We will continue to safeguard our schools and work closely with the community to maintain peace and security,” PCOL Buslig, Jr. assured.

Through Project Ligtas Eskwela, the QCPD remains committed to creating a safe and secure learning environment for students and educators in Quezon City.
