The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested a total of 217 individuals during a series of intensified anti-criminality and anti-illegal drug operations conducted from March 16 to 22, 2025.
QCPD Acting Director, PCOL Melecio M. Buslig, Jr., reported that authorities carried out 51 anti-illegal drug operations within the week, resulting in the arrest of 68 drug suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at Php2.84 million.
In its ongoing campaign against wanted persons, police operatives arrested 55 individuals — 27 of whom were classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 28 as Other Wanted Persons.
Among those apprehended were:
Raymond Anthony Hornedo, 43, ranked as No. 6 MWP of Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) and wanted for carnapping. He had been eluding arrest for nine years.
Jaypee Cruz, 39, wanted for violating R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and a fugitive for seven years.
Mark Gil Roque, 42, wanted for malicious mischief; John Cortez, 23, for theft; and Jenefer Resnera, 47, for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple property damages. All three had been evading authorities for six years.
The courts handling their respective cases have been formally notified of their arrests.
In the campaign against illegal gambling, 41 operations led to the arrest of 85 individuals and the confiscation of Php29,789 in bet money.
Meanwhile, the QCPD’s crackdown on loose firearms resulted in nine operations, yielding nine unlicensed firearms and the arrest of nine suspects.
PCOL Buslig, Jr. commended the operatives behind the successful operations. “The success of this operation is a testament to the QCPD’s unwavering dedication to upholding the law and eradicating all forms of criminality,” he said.
