Despite the ongoing pandemic, the local government of Pulilan, Bulacan held a simple celebration of the town 225th year of existence.
Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo herself and other local officials led their townmates in a meaningful commemoration of the town’s founding anniversary, which carried the theme “Sama-samang Lakas Pulilenyo.”
The event was held in front of the municipal hall, where a Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mario Jose Ladra.
According to the mayor, since the celebration cannot be delayed anymore, city health officials made sure that all minimum safety measures and protocols were strictly enforced and observed.
As a precaution, only a limited number of guests were invited as a precaution against the threat and spread of COVID-19. Only municipal employees, including the municipal councils headed by Vice Mayor Ricardo Candido, joined the event together with the association of barangay captains.
Other guests were Engr. Adrian Sy-Alvarado, representative of Vice Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado; board members Mina Fermin, Allan Andan and Jhong Ople of the First District of Bulacan.
