PRO4A conducts COVID-19 vaccination simulation

CAMP BGEN. VICENTE LIM– The Police Regional Office 4-A (PRO 4A) held recently its COVID-19 vaccination simulation exercises at the Office of the Regional Health Service (RHS) 4A located in this camp.

RHS 4A Assistant Chief, PLt. Col. Fernando Mercado was at the helm of the simulation exercise, which saw the participation of personnel from the Police Regional Office CALABARZON, together with representatives from the Department of Health Region 4A (DOH-CALABARZON).

Those who will be vaccinated will undergo the Six Steps needed before they are vaccinated: (Step 1) Sanitation/Triage Area, (Step 2) Registration, (Step 3) Pre-Vaccination Counseling, (Step 4) Screening, (Step 5), Vaccination Area, and (Step 6) Monitoring Area.

PLt. Col. Mercado said they will closely monitor personnel who will be vaccinated. The Health Service will be ready to assist and give first aid to personnel who will show symptoms after the vaccination.  “At every step of the way, we are ensuring the health and safety of our personnel first,” he added.

Calabarzon Regional Director BGen. Felipe Natividad said the simulation exercise was conducted to see the capabilities and effectiveness of the RHS 4A’s inoculation drive once the country’s mass vaccination started. “I am certain that our health care providers here in our own organization are more than capable and prepared in terms of human resource, equipment and mobility, hence let us give our full support to the government’s vaccination program,” said Gen. Natividad.

Natividad also encouraged the public to participate in the vaccination program against COVID-19. “Huwag po tayong mangamba dahil pinag-aralan po ng ating mga eksperto sa medical field ang bakuna laban sa COVID-19.  Ang pagbabakuna ay isang ligtas at epektibong paraan para tayo ay makaiwas sa sakit.”
