MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday assured the public that PhilHealth services will remain intact and unaffected, regardless of changes in government subsidies or member contributions.
Speaking about the government’s commitment to healthcare, Marcos emphasized that there will be no reduction in the benefits provided by PhilHealth, the country’s national health insurance program.
“The government will ensure that PhilHealth services are not diminished, regardless of the circumstances. We remain committed to providing essential healthcare services to every Filipino,” he said.
Marcos also revealed that plans are underway to further expand PhilHealth’s coverage and increase insurance claims to better address the growing healthcare needs of Filipinos.
This announcement reflects the administration’s goal of improving access to affordable healthcare while strengthening the country’s public health infrastructure.
