MEMBERS of the PNP Aviation Security Group stopped a woman said to be carrying a bullet in her bag when it passed the x-ray machine at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
Ailene Andrada from Nueva Vizcaya explained that she was just going to buy food and thought that she left the bullet in her house.
She said she uses the bullet as an amulet to ward off evil spirits.
Andrada added that she was just accompanying a relative to the airport, whom she said is the one flying out to work overseas.
She added that she always brings the bullet with her all the time, even when going to the market as a superstitious belief.
Andrada was later released by the police but confiscated the bullet.
