Violators of the gun ban face severe penalties, including imprisonment, disqualification from holding public office, and the revocation of firearms licenses. Police checkpoints and patrols have been intensified nationwide to enforce the ban.

Legal Consequences:
The suspect is now in police custody and will be charged with illegal possession of firearms, drug possession, and violation of the Comelec gun ban.

Police Commitment:
Major Pangan reaffirmed the Hermosa Police’s dedication to maintaining peace and order during the election period, stating, “We are committed to cracking down on all violators to ensure a safe and orderly election season in Bataan.”
