THE Philippine National Police (PNP) expressed its readiness to provide assistance in the distribution of cash aid to qualified recipients in areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

This was the assurance given by PNP Chief, Police General Guillermo Eleazar, and tasked concerned police offices to coordinate with local government officials to determine the assistance they require for the cash aid distribution.

Eleazar said.

He said that police personnel and LGU officials must ensure that the aid distribution in localities do not become super spreader events.

According to the PNP Chief, their main objective is to avoid cash aid distribution activities turning into super spreader events by ensuring that a system is in place and there is an orderly process.

The DILG has said the distribution of cash aid in areas under ECQ could begin next week.

The Department of Budget and Management has released a total of PhP10.894 billion as financial aid to affected low-income individuals and households in Metro Manila alone.
