THE Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was ordered to conduct a deeper probe into the reported abduction of six persons in Laurel, Batangas.
PNP Chief, Police General Guillermo Eleazar gave the order and also assured the families of the kidnapped victims that the police would not stop until they are brought back home and the perpetrators are delivered to justice.
“I already tasked the Director of the PNP’s Anti-Kidnapping Group to focus on this case, including coordinating with the family and friends of the victims to determine why this incident happened,” said PGen Eleazar.
“I can feel the anxiety of the parents and loved ones of the victims so we assured them that their PNP will do everything in its power to solve this case,” he added.
Six persons identified as: Mark Nelvin Caraan, Shane Despe, Carlo Fazon, Eugene Noora, Mar Christian Ore and Paulino Sebastian, were on their way home to Dasmariñas City, Cavite, from a vacation in Lian, Batangas when armed men stopped and forcibly opened their vehicle along Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road and abducted them.
Batangas Provincial Police Office personnel found the victims’ vehicle abandoned in a forested area in Barangay Bunggo, Calamba City, Laguna.
The Chief PNP also appealed to anyone who may have information on the incident to immediately report to authorities in order to help in locating the victims.
