THE Philippines is seen reverting back to normalcy by 2023, says President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a press conference hours after the arrival of some 600,000 doses of donated Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines from China, Duterte sees an end of the global pandemic by then.
“In about maybe early year [2023,] not in [2022]. Ito ngayon hanggang katapusan ng buwan, paspasan tayo. Early in the first maybe first or second quarter of year 2-3, 2023, baka, tulong ng Diyos,” the President said.
Duterte, who personally received the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines Sunday afternoon, added that the country would have achieved herd immunity against the deadly virus from Wuhan, China early next year.
