Another score for the Vice President Leni Robredo’s camp after the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has rejected the petition of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Solicitor General Jose Calida to remove or inhibit Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen from the electoral protest case against the former.
PET also wants Calida to explain why he should not be held in contempt for his filing of a motion to remove Justice Leonen out of the case.
Prior to the petition, Marcos’ camp accused Leonen of being biased at the hearing.
Marcos and Calida had previously denied that they had a conspiracy to prevent Leonen from being in-charged in the case.
