“Pambansang Pabahay” project of President Marcos, Jr. now in full swing in Davao City

DAVAO CITY – THE Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in this city is now going full swing.

The project is among the 20 ongoing projects in various phases of development and construction under the administration’s flagship “Pambansang Pabahay” program.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar and Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President Federico Laxa recently inspected the project site along with other key housing officials.

The SHFC is spearheading the project dubbed People’s Ville I, II and III, which is composed of a total 82 buildings with 8,200 residential units. Currently, 5 five-storey buildings under the project are in final stages of completion.

During the project briefing, Secretary Acuzar requested the SHFC to allot more open spaces and parks for the dwellers, especially their children, so that they may also enjoy recreational activities.

The inspection was the first activity of Secretary Acuzar and President Laxa before leading the launching of the DHSUD Onse Housing Fair at SM Davao.

During the launch, Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Secretary Leo Tereso Magno and Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA)-Southern Mindanao Chapter Governor, Engr. Kenneth Yap, committed their full support to the DHSUD in the implementation of “Pambansang Pabahay” in Mindanao.

Engr. Yap and Secretary Magno expressed optimism that the DHSUD, under the leadership of Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, can hurdle the challenges and deliver positive results.

Secretary Magno stressed that “he (Secretary Acuzar) is the right man for the job.” For his part, Engr. Yap vowed SHDA is doing its “best to contribute to the realization of the dream of providing decent homes to every Filipino family.”

DHSUD Regional Office 11 Director Roberto Mauro Miguel Palma Gil, in coordination with housing stakeholders particularly the SHDA, organized the DHSUD Onse Housing Fair in celebration of the National Shelter Month.
