Palace urges vigilance after NSC uncovers China-Linked espionage operations

Malacañang on Thursday, March 5, 2026, urged government officials and employees to remain vigilant following the discovery of alleged China-linked espionage activities in the Philippines.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro reminded government workers to safeguard sensitive government information and stay alert against potential threats to national security.

The National Security Council described the case as a “serious national security matter,” saying some Filipino nationals allegedly acted on behalf of Chinese intelligence.

Authorities added that the operations had already been “addressed and terminated.”
