THERE was a slight increase in the occupancy rate of COVID-19 wards in the National Capital Region (NCR), according to the Department of Health (DOH).
The agency said COVID ward occupancy rose from 19 percent last Thursday to 22 percent yesterday.
Based on data, this equates to 836 beds from the overall 3,800.
This means an additional 114 beds were occupied in one day.
However, there was no explanation from the DOH on the reason for the increase in occupancy rate in the NCR.
Meanwhile, occupancy rate of ICU beds in the NCR went down by one percent.
This is about 28 percent or 336 beds from the overall 1,200.
