NTF preparing 10k vaccination sites for massive three-day jab drive

THE National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) is already preparing at least 10,000 vaccination sites for use in the three-day mass vaccination activity called “Bayanihan, Bakunahan.”

The government said preparation for the massive vaccination drive is now in full swing.

Around 5,000-10,000 vaccination sites are being eyed for the three-day vaccination drive that will be held on November 29, 30 and December 1.

According to NTF chief implementer and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., 25,000 to 50,000 vaccinators will be deployed in various vaccination sites.

In his report to President Rodrigo Duterte, Galvez said aside from schools, malls and even military camps will be used as vaccination sites.

Aside from the assets of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Department of Transportation, these agencies will also deploy personnel to ensure and monitor security and will also serve as marshalls in the vaccination sites.

Those in the private sector, medical associations, the religious sector, non government organizations, including riders associations or bikers will also help in the vaccination and in spreading awareness and information about vaccines and value of vaccination, especially in far-flung areas.
