BALANGA CITY, Bataan – THE Bataan Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Abet Garcia has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with QPAX Traffic Systems Incorporated represented by Chief Executive Officer Manolo Steven M. Ona for the implementation of the “No Contact Apprehension” program in the province.

According to Governor Garcia, using high-tech cameras, flashes, central processing units, signal controller interfaces and sensor arrays that can register a clearer image of vehicles, license plates and drivers, it will be easier to identify offending motorists on traffic laws such as over speeding, not wearing a helmet and using phone while driving.

The move, Garcia added, is still in line with his goal of reducing the number or completely avoiding road accidents.

The Philippine National Police (PNP-Bataan) under the leadership of Police Col. Joel Tampis, Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Public-Private Partnership Investment Center (PPPIC) led by Atty. Aurelio “Joey” Angeles also signed the joint venture agreement.

“We will continue to work with public and private agencies to maintain the security and order of our province,” Garcia stressed.
