AN employee of the local government unit of Rosario, Batangas was dead after being shot by unidentified assailants while he was seated in his parked motorcycle.
The police identified the victim as Mark Anthony Grit, 40 years old, a driver for the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of the said town.
According to investigation, a riding-in-tandem approached Grit and shot the victim while his motorcycle was parked at Barangay Poblacion.
An estimated five gunshot wounds was sustained by the victim in different parts of his body and face, while the suspects quickly fled the crime scene.
Authorities are still investigating a possible motive for the crime, although the police have already identified a person of interest and have yet to release further details.
