Two months after being secretly engaged, singer Morissette Amon finally let the world know about her real relationship status.
The singer, dubbed as “Asia’s Phoenix,” announced her engagement to Dave Lamar, who also helped her shoot the music video for her latest single “Love You Still.” The song now has more than 300,000 views on YouTube after premiering on the popular video site on December 5, 2020.
She also defended her engagement against the nasty comment of a netizen, who said getting engaged and eventually getting married will cost her her music career, especially now that she’s trying to break into the international music scene.
The singer, who does not usually answer to comments against her online, responded by saying she won’t lose anything since the person she will marry is the one helping her with her career.
Amon became popular after joining Season 1 of the reality music competition “The Voice of the Philippines.” She gained international recognition when she became a resident judge and co-host with Grammy-award winning American singer Michael Bolton for the new reality singing competition “Asian Dream” that premiered on AXN Asia in August this year.
