Makati City Prosecutor’s Office junks raps on Christine Dacera case

THE Makati City Prosecutor’s Office today junked the consolidated complaints in relation to the death of stewardess Christine Dacera.

In an information released by the Department of Justice, included is the complaint of administering of illegal drugs against Mark Anthony Rosales.

The prosecutor’s decision maintained that there was no evidence on the allegation.

This is due to the negative presence of drugs based on the drug and urine test done on the victim’s body.

The complaint of obstruction of justice against the accused was also junked since they were only protecting their rights.

The Prosecutor’s Office also did not accept the complaint of falsification against Dr. Michael Nick Sarmiento due to the absence of proof that the facts narrated by the doctor were false, and that Dr. Sarmiento’s declarations were based on evidence.

The other suspects such as John Pascual dela Serna, Jezreel Rapinan, Alain Chen and Louis de Lima were also cleared of the complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide filed against them.

Also dismissed were the complaints against Christine Dacera’s mother Sharon, members of the Makati Police and others.

Included are complaints of illegal detention, arbitrary detention, perjury, libel, cyberlibel, among others.

It can be recalled that flight stewardess Christine Dacera was found dead inside a hotel room in Makati City during the early hours of New Year’s Day 2021, who reportedly died of aortic aneurism.
