SUNDAY morning, a day after Christmas, a magnitude 5.4 tremor struck off the shores of Davao Occidental, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The quake, noted to be tectonic of origin, was recorded at 10:22 a.m., with a depth of 64 km.
The tremor’s epicenter occured about 388 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.
No damage were recorded according to the state seismological bureau but warned aftershocks may occur.
