Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, has expressed deep gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. for approving seven legislative measures aimed at strengthening and expanding the agency’s services across the country.
In a formal communication addressed to Asec. Mendoza, the Office of the President confirmed the approval of presidential issuances facilitating the establishment and upgrading of several LTO offices nationwide.
These measures include the creation of new LTO District Offices in Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte; Cordova and Consolacion in Cebu; and Pandan, Antique. Additionally, the President approved the conversion of the Las Piñas City Licensing Center into a full-fledged LTO Licensing Center; the upgrading of the Rosales, Pangasinan District Office into a Class A LTO Office; and the conversion of the LTO Extension Office in Burgos, Ilocos Norte into a District Office.
Asec. Mendoza noted that these approvals also come with budget allocations for the improvement of facilities and coverage of operational and administrative costs.
“On behalf of the men and women of the LTO, I extend our sincerest gratitude to President Bongbong Marcos for his support in enhancing our services to the Filipino people. This initiative greatly supports our goal of making government services more accessible under the Bagong Pilipinas vision,” said Asec. Mendoza.
He also conveyed his appreciation to lawmakers who pushed for the passage of these measures.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of Congress and the Senate who dedicated their time to deliberate and approve these proposals,” he added.
Asec. Mendoza emphasized that expanding LTO offices is a long-standing priority to ease the burden on citizens, especially in remote areas, who often travel far for driver’s license renewals, vehicle registrations, and other LTO transactions.
This expansion, he explained, is being reinforced by a comprehensive digitalization program designed to make LTO services faster, more efficient, and more convenient.
“Our fellow citizens can rest assured that under the leadership of DOTr Secretary Vince B. Dizon, we will continue seeking ways to improve and accelerate the delivery of services to the public,” Asec. Mendoza affirmed.
