LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3 and PNR suspend operations due to Super Typhoon Rolly

The operations of light railway systems and the Philippine National Railways (PNR) have been suspended after PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 in Metro Manila, Sunday morning.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) made the announcement due to severe weather condition brought about by Super Typhoon Rolly.

“In line with the latest severe weather bulletin issued by PAGASA placing Metro Manila under Signal Number 4, please be informed that LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 will suspend their respective operations effective immedialy,” the advisory said.

PNR General Manager Junn Magno announced that a sweeper train was dispatched to ferry all remaining passengers and personnel.
