List of government top earners released by COA

THE Commission on Audit (COA) released a list of officials who received the highest amount of salaries and allowances last year year.

The list is based on the 2021 Report on the Salaries and Allowances (ROSA) of about 9,000 principal officers of government-owned-and-controlled corporations (GOCCs) and their subsidiaries, and of secretaries, undersecretaries, assistant secretaries of similar rank to national government officials.

Top earners in the list are officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which includes:

1) BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno with P41.812 million
2) BSP Monetary Board Member Victor Bruce Tolentino – P23.292 million
3) BSP Monetary Board Member Felipe Medalla – P21.831 million
4) BSP Monetary Board Member Antonio Abacan Jr. – P21.71 million
5) BSP Monetary Board Member Peter Favila – P21.673 million
6) BSP Monetary Board Member Anita Linda Aquino – P21.426 million
7) BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi Fonacier – P20.243 million
8) BSP Deputy Governor Maria Almasara Cyd Amador – P20.176 million
9) BSP Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila Jr. – P17.831 million
10) BSP Senior Assistant Governor Ma. Ramon Gertrudes Santiago – P17.381 million

Solicitor General Jose Calida, who was in second place in 2020, was at 12th place in 2021.

United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) Executive Vice President Eulogio Catabran III who placed third in 2020 is now at 773rd place.
