The rampaging Los Angeles Lakers were too hot for the Miami Heat as LeBron James and the gang took Game 1 of the NBA finals with a 116-98 win.
Miami which build a 13-point lead in the first quarter were almost frozen in the next two quarters where they only scored 39 points for 24 minutes.
James almost registered another triple-double performance with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. He was supported by fellow start player Anthony Davis with a game-high 34 points.
Jimmy Butler paced the Heat with 23 points followed by rookie Kendrick Nunn with 18.
Game 2 of the NBA finals will be this Saturday morning (9:00am, Manila Time).
