Jean Henri Lhuillier Wins CEO of the Year at Asia CEO Awards 2025

Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies, was honored as CEO of the Year – Grand Winner at the Asia CEO Awards 2025, recognizing his visionary leadership and lifelong commitment to advancing financial inclusion, resilience, and empowerment among Filipinos.

Under Lhuillier’s direction, the PJ Lhuillier Group has evolved into one of the country’s most diversified and purpose-driven conglomerates, championing innovation and accessibility in financial services and beyond. His leadership has steered the group’s flagship brand, Cebuana Lhuillier, to become the Philippines’ largest and most trusted microfinance provider, empowering millions of Filipinos through accessible financial solutions.

Complementing Cebuana Lhuillier’s success, Cebuana Lhuillier Services Corporation (CLSC) continues to connect Filipinos around the world with secure, real-time remittance services. Meanwhile, Cebuana Lhuillier Bank (CLB) strengthens financial inclusion for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and underserved communities through savings, loans, and digital banking services.

Further extending the group’s reach, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers (CLIB) has become a leader in microinsurance, providing affordable protection tailored to the unique needs of Filipino families. Cebuana Lhuillier Financial Corporation (CLFC) also empowers individuals and small businesses with accessible loan products that promote growth and stability. Beyond financial services, Lhuillier has expanded into investment and wealth-building ventures through Cebuana Lhuillier Jewelry Premium, Just Jewels, Gold Bar, and Re-Find, offering Filipinos greater access to sustainable investment opportunities.

Beyond his business achievements, Lhuillier is widely recognized for his dedication to nation-building and community development. Through the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI), he spearheads programs focused on education, disaster resilience, and livelihood empowerment. His belief in sports as a tool for youth development also shines through his leadership as President of Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) and President of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL).

“For decades, we have worked to ensure that access to financial services is not a privilege, but a right — providing solutions that meet people wherever they are in their financial journey. This honor reflects the passion and dedication of the entire PJ Lhuillier team, whose collective efforts continue to make inclusive growth a reality,” said Lhuillier.

At the same event, PJ Lhuillier earned several Circle of Excellence distinctions, including CSR Company of the Year (sponsored by Innodata), Diversity Company of the Year (presented by PSG Global Solutions), and APEX Company of the Year (presented by Microsourcing). These recognitions highlight the organization’s commitment to community engagement, inclusive workplace culture, and outstanding business performance.

Now in its 16th year, the Asia CEO Awards remains the largest and most prestigious business awards program in the Philippines, celebrating leaders and organizations that drive the nation’s economic progress and strengthen its position as a key business hub in Southeast Asia.
