Iconic Olongapo pizza house gutted by fire on Easter Sunday

Olongapo City — A massive fire broke out this morning of Easter Sunday, engulfing one of Olongapo City’s most iconic dining spots, the famous Sam’s Pizza House in Barangay Magsaysay.

Firefighters responded swiftly, but the blaze completely gutted the establishment, leaving only charred remains of the beloved pizzeria.

Established in 1978, Sam’s Pizza House had been a local institution for more than four decades, known for its unique flavors and family-friendly atmosphere. Generations of residents and tourists alike had made it a regular stop.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, and as of this writing, no injuries have been reported.

Many locals have taken to social media to express their shock and share memories of the place that had become part of the city’s cultural fabric.
