It seems they crash landed on each other, romantically, that is.
Korean actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye jin recently confirmed that they are in a relationship.
Hyun Bin’s talent management agency, VAST Entertainment, stated that the two, who both performed magnificently as Korean cross-border lovers in the 2019 mega-hit “Crash Landing on You,” developed feelings toward each other after their well-loved drama series ended.
The agency added, “We ask that you look warmly upon their relationship and cheer them on in the future.”
Son Ye Jin’s agency MS Team Entertainment also confirmed the news, stating that “The two of them got to know each other through their acting projects, and after the end of their drama, they developed an interest in each other and ended up dating.”
The blockbuster K-drama series “Crash Landing on You” (also known as “Love’s Crash Landing,” “Emergency Love Landing”) tells the story of a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), who got swept by a storm while paragliding from South Korea and crash landed on the North Korea side, where she was found by Capt. Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a member of North Korea’s elite army.
Capt. Ri decided to help Yoon go back to South Korea but met several challenges along the way. They were forced to spend more time together and eventually fell in love.
“Crash Landing on You,” which was aired on tvN, a cable channel, is the third highest-rated South Korean drama series in cable TV history, and is among the most-watched series on streaming service Netflix.
