BALANGA CITY, BATAAN — A high-value individual (HVI) was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Bataan PNP in Barangay Bilolo, Orion, Bataan on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Authorities seized 168 grams of shabu worth Php 1,142,400.00, along with a caliber .22 Magnum revolver loaded with seven live bullets.
The suspect will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165, Republic Act 10591, and the Omnibus Election Code.
Police Col. Palmer Z. Tria, Provincial Director of the Bataan PNP, commended the operatives for their successful operation.
He emphasized the importance of cracking down on illegal drugs and loose firearms, particularly with the upcoming elections. He described the arrest as a significant step in safeguarding public safety and ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
