THE Department of Health (DOH) said the eight travelers from South Africa that are still being located as of now gave the wrong and incomplete information.
DOH Spokesperson and Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the travelers did not provide complete details in their personal information sheet, which made it difficult to locate them so they can be placed under quarantine and examination for COVID-19.
The eight travelers were part of the 253 individuals who flew into the country from South Africa from November 15 to 29.
Vergeire said that unlocated travelers cannot be contacted or they do not answer when called through the numbers they provided in their information sheets.
The other travelers, on the other hand, did not provide exact location or gave incomplete home addresses, she said.
Vergeire noted that they will continue to coordinate with the local government units and the Bureau of Quarantine to be able to locate the unaccounted travelers.
