PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has re-appointed Leoncio Evasco Jr., a year after he ran and lost for the top gubernatorial post in Bohol.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque made the announcement on the appointment of Evasco as Presidential Adviser on Streamlining of Government Processes, a Cabinet-level position with a rank of Secretary.
“PA Evasco is not new in the Duterte administration having served as Cabinet Secretary in the early years of the current government,” Roque said. “His familiarity with the present bureaucracy would contribute greatly in his new task of streamlining government processes in the Executive.”
Evasco, a former mayor of Maribojoc town in Bohol, also had stint in Davao City when Duterte was Davao City mayor.
He was also Duterte’s campaign manager in the 2016 presidential election.
