A TOP Palace official said the quarantine period of President Rodrigo Duterte ended yesterday.
This was confirmed by Acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles after it was determined that the president was first exposed to a member of the household staff who tested positive of COVID-19 last January 28.
As for the second household staff member who tested positive of the virus last January 30, it was learned that the president did not have close contact based on circumstances seen by the doctor.
Because of this, Nograles said that the president’s five-day quarantine ended yesterday, February 3, to which Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire agree.
He said the president will continue to work from Bahay Pagbabago and is expected to conduct his “Talk to the People” on Monday, February 7, based on his schedule.
