Duterte names Dizon to another post

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president Vince Dizon as acting chairperson of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), earning him the distinction of being the only government official to hold four top positions.

No less than Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea confirmed the additional designation of Dizon as OIC chairperson of the CDC, a subsidiary of the BCDA that manages the Clark Freeport Zone.

Aside from the CDC, Dizon will have to multi-task as concurrent BCDA President, deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 and being a presidential adviser on flagship programs and projects.

Dizon’s appointment came more than a week after the President named former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as his adviser on Clark flagship programs and projects.

Dizon is replacing Jose de Jesus, a former Transportation secretary, who was the CDC chairperson since 2017.

Medialdea did not elaborate on the replacement of De Jesus.
