The Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON), through its Provincial Science and Technology Center in Cavite (DOST PSTC-Cavite) recently conducted a webinar on Packaging Trends and Opportunities via Zoom.
Engr. Raul Castañeda, DOST PSTC-Cavite Director, led the event attended by 300 participants.
Most of the attendees were aspiring and existing entrepreneurs looking for ways to help expand their market packaging that they hope will add value to their product and entice more buyers to buy them.
The DOST-CALABARZON identified livelihood development as one of its core programs.
Gilda De Jesus, Science Research Specialist II of the DOST PSTC-Cavite, in her introduction, listed entry points for possible collaboration between the office and the participants.
DOST PSTC-Cavite also offered trainings on packaging improvement and its laboratory facilities for product testing, nutrition facts analysis, and shelf-life study.
