DOH 4-A warns public of leptospirosis

During the onslaught of typhoon Ulysses recently most of our ‘kababayans’ in Region 4-A or the Calabarzon region are much affected by massive flood.

The Department of Health 4-A warned the public that the water flowed in the communities maybe contaminated with Leptospira bacteria from the urine of infected rats.

Leptospirosis is endemic during the rainy season. Among its symptoms include high fever, muscle pain, eye redness, chills, severe headache, and yellowish skin discoloration

Patients with any symptoms of infection, Prophylaxis medicine are now available in our Barangay.
