THE courtesy calls of diplomats from several countries on President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at the BBM Headquarters in Mandaluyong City concluded today.
In a courtesy call to Marcos Jr., Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Marat Pavlov said that among the topics they discussed were the oil issue and the situation in Ukraine.
In his meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa, among those discussed were ADB’s support to the incoming administration, including the fight against climate change, investments on education, the crafting of employment programs, health promotion and social protection.
Aside from this, Asakawa also invited Marcos Jr. to become guest of honor during the 55th ADB Annual Meeting in Ortigas Center to be held this coming September.
As for the courtesy call of new Egyptian Ambassador to the Philippines Ahmed Shehabeldin Ibrahim, they talked about the strengthening of the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Egypt and the issue of climate change.
The Egyptian diplomat also extended an invitation to Marcos to attend the Climate Change conference to be held in Egypt.
Meanwhile, as for the courtesy call of Danish Ambassador Grete Sillasen, they talked about “green transition” and the development of sustainable use of energy.
Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss, on the other hand, said that in his meeting with Marcos, Jr., they talked about agriculture and food security.
