The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) strongly condemns the unauthorized use of our logos, photos, and other department markings for unrelated posts, advertisements, or any malicious purposes.
We have received reports regarding a mobile application named “PCSO Lotto Online Award” and its associated Facebook page, “Online Lotto”, which have deliberately misused photos from a DILG event to promote their online lottery application.
The Department categorically states that it has neither authorized nor granted permission to this application, Facebook page, or any other entity to use our materials, especially for such purposes.
The photos in question were taken during the “Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2024 Awarding Ceremony and SGLG Incentive Fund National Expo,” an event dedicated to celebrating excellence in local governance. This event has no connection whatsoever to any online lottery or similar activities.
We have already instructed the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group to launch an immediate investigation into this matter. Additionally, we have reported this unauthorized use of DILG materials to META for appropriate action.
The DILG calls on the public to remain vigilant and to report any similar incidents to the nearest DILG or PNP office immediately. Protecting the integrity of our institution and ensuring public trust remain our utmost priorities.
